Dearest Janay

Welcome to my Blog!

 I'm Janay and the dearest of them all. I am 23 years old, Georgia based and graduated with my B.A in Anthropology and minor in Criminal Justice. In with much getting into a master's program for Forensic Anthropology & Archaeology with more training in Zooarchaeology, Osteology, Bioarcheology (hopefully fully funded). 

I'm excited to present this blog as a form self-expression, and to share some anthropological thoughts, while connecting and creating a community. Although I did start with a Substack first, it didn't truly feel like it was mines. So, I created this to create something to be mines and get rid of the nerves of feeling perceived. 

A little more about me is that I am a Gemini baby and I absolutely love the color green. As of lately, I've been interested in Hoodoo, Witches, Astrology as in the historical and cultural ties it has with Black Americans. As for my favorites/top teir rewatch(s):

Animes: Haikyu, Naruto, Horimiya Tokyo Ghouls, A Silent Voice and Black Clover. 

Television shows:  Heartbreak High, the 100, The Walking Dead, Bob's Burgers, Lost in Space. 

Movies: The Sound of Music, Riddick, The Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Spiderman: ATSV, 

Artists: Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, Lady Herione, Noah Kahan, Laufey and lastly

Books and Manhwas: Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Hunger Games series, The Program series, Under the Oak Tree, A Crow Stare, In the Doghouse, Love so Pure, When the Yakuza Falls in Love, Stigma, Happily Ever Afterward and 10 Years That I Loved You Most. 

There are so many more that I enjoy, however these are the ones I reread, rewatch and relisten to on the daily and would recommend to people.
